I like this painting specifically because it is not as outlandish as some of Hockney's other works. Even though it relies heavily on a bright and vibrant green pallet, it is still clearly a farmscape. The appearance is still very much as if you were to look over a rolling green. Even though it is not so much a realistic approach, Hockney stays true to the original scene.
