LeWitt and his wall drawings
I selected this piece by Sol LeWitt because of the contrast between the foreground and background. The white tower-like structure protrudes from the darker, striped background and immediately catches the eye. Personally, I'm not really a huge fan of LeWitt's work, as I'm not really crazy about abstract or minimalist work. However, I think his idea of "instructions" to create a piece of art, although different in nearly every instance is incredibly novel. So as a whole, I greatly appreciate the concept, but fall short of marveling at his creations.
