Luca Signorelli was a prolific painter with many works produced. His works tend to share a common theme: the bible. Even in a scene like this, there is an angel raining something down on groups of people outside what I presume to be a place of meeting. I like that this isn't the main focus and isn't necessarily the thing one is drawn to right away. I first noticed the people in the foreground and the large building in the background. I also enjoy that despite there being many colors, not one really is overwhelming or really jump out and snag the viewer attention, diverting them away from other important details within the work.
