David Hockney

This painting is, "The Arrival of Spring in Woldgate, East Yorkshire in 2011." Hockney has been featured in over 500 exhibitions and most of them were dedicated to landscapes, like trees and tree tunnels of Yorkshire.  I chose this because its a whimsical painting of a forest. I like the variations of color he used ad the movement the leaves create. Hockney frequently went to Yorkshire in the 1990's and visited his mother there. He often visited Yorkshire so a lot of his paintings were inspired from there.
