Contemporary Artist

Firelei Báez was born in 1981 in the Dominican Republic. She currently live in New York City and She is most popularly known for her very original intricate art. Her paintings are extremely different and eye catching. I never thought I would’ve like such different art but after taking a look at her work I’m definitely a fan. I love how different it is and I love the use of different colors. I also love how she takes something seemingly normal like a person and totally transforms it. I enjoy how in many of her drawings she has a person with a very eccentric skin, face and colors but makes the eyes very realistic which almost makes the view feel like they’re being stared at.
