I chose this piece of artwork because I liked how you can see she is the main focus yet the background catches my eye. I also like her head pieces and jewelry. Lastly I see she has either a tattoo on her arm or it’s some type of cloth. Overall I really like this piece of artwork and give him so much credit on making something so beautiful.

the hell - Luca Signorelli

Throughout history, there have been many interpretations of what hell. I find it really interesting that no two artists depict hell the same way. In this painting, in particular, I like the contrast between the angels above and the 'demons' below. the concept that these tough soldiers angels are dropping sinners into hell and that in 'hell' you can't tell the difference between whos a human and whos a demon. another thing to notice is that hell isn't your typical red and flames it looks like earth. The colors used in this painting are very earthy and human-like which adds to the creepiness. 

Modonna and Child with Saints

Piero della Francesca painted this in 1472. He was an early renaissance painter and for this he used tempura paint. I liked the detail of the molding it really catches the eye and also how shiny the knights armor is in the front. I also liked how everyone was wearing different colors which separated all the people in the large group. I didn't like the placement of the people and how it was so centered but other wise it is a brilliant painting.

"The Damned Cast Into Hell" by Luca Signorelli

     This art piece is called "The Damned Cast Into Hell" by Luca Signorelli. This art represents the Christian religious illustration of the expected arrival of Jesus Christ. In this artistic image, we can see the presence of inhuman creatures, such as demons and angels, as well as humans. The fear and suffering can be perceived in people's faces expressions in this image. Apparently, they are being publishing, and tortured by the demons. I choose this art piece because I like the quality, and creativity used by the actor by not missing any detail on each of the individuals that are crowed in the ground.  I also like the contrast of the different tones of color that each individual has in the crow.

The Resurection

This wall painting is call The Resurrection by Piero Della Francesca. I chose this one because  I found how what I'm assuming is the disciples look. I looks like they are passed out but I think it looks a little funny. I found it interesting that in most of his paintings all of the characters are painted as if they were marble. I also liked how he left Jesus wounds bleeding.

Luca Signorelli

Luca Signorelli was born in 1444, in Cortona Italy. It is presumed that Signorelli was an apprentance for Piero Della Francesca or just greatly influenced by him. Signorelli would go on to work in Rome where his "Testament of Moses" resides in the Sistine Chapel. This piece, The Penitent of Saint Jerome, created in 1505, is currently on display in the Louvre and is attributed to Signorelli as well. This piece is particularly interesting, it has an almost surrealist feel, being that the crucified Jesus is floating above the subject, Saint Jerome. As for the actual depiction of Saint Jerome, for an elderly man he is rather muscular, it's interesting how much attention is paid to his neck muscles especially. He also has a childlike flush, which feels out of place given the otherwise more dramatic feel. I chose this piece because it didn't necessarily feel like a Renaissance painting, it felt a little bit more modern. I really liked the attention he gave to his neck as well as the cool toned color palette he used
